I have been on Remeron for 5 days now, 15mg at bed.

I sleep lightly on the Remeron, wake often and have lots of dreams but I also have the hardest time getting up in the morning and shaking off the fog. I am tired all day long and by late afternoon/evening am ready for bed again but don't sleep.

I feel like my body weighs a ton and it is so hard to get the motivation to do anything.

Does this wear off with time and if yes how long after starting it? I am about ready to call my doctor and ask him to take me off as I can't function like this but I also want to give this a fair shake as it is supposed to work for my stomach issues!

Hi AZ,

I'm not on remeron but Citalopram. However I have the sleeping problems you describe and I think they can be associated with any of the ADs. My dreams are very vivid - I remember them much clearer than I used to and they seem to last the whole night. I find mornings really difficult and am continually exhausted. I'm going to come off mine to see if it makes a difference.

PRT xx
