I don't think going to therapists is really supposed to make you all better, it's just supposed to help you know yourself a bit better and to help you put into place some strategies for dealing with things. You have to do the changing, should any changing need to be done. There is no such thing as 'normal'. It's fine not to like parties and stuff, we're all different. You just have to get to a stage where you're happ with who you are. You shouldn't be changing to fit into anyone else's idea of normal.
