Hi everyone. I am interested to see what medication give you the night sweats? This pole I believe will help people find out which medication make them sweat.
I have the night sweat really bad, I mean bad. I wake up several times a night to find a pillow that is not wet.

I do have day sweats as well, just not as bad at night.

I am currently taking: Cymbalta, Wellbutrin and Lamictal.

I am not really sure which one makes me sweat the most. sad.gif

Thank you for your answers

Mike

Mike,

I've been on Cymbalta for 2 years and have sweated ridiculously on it. Not night sweats, just sweating during the day in or out but tons when hot. I think its a pretty common side effect with that stuff. Not sure about the other 2 you are on. I took Welbutrin for a bit years ago but don't recall sweating as much.

I have heavy sweating on face & head all day with Cymbalta & am so hot at night I can barely sleep. Really aggravating side effect, but I can't take Wellbutrin (allergy). Dr is looking into Pristiq; does this happen w/that med?

Since I went up to 150mg lamictal, holy s*** have I been have night sweats. I mean sweating like a one legged man at an *** kicking contest! I wake up sometimes and my pillow and sheets are drenched. I've been having to wash my sheets every few days. Hope it goes away but if it doesnt I guess I'll ahve to live with it.

Yeah, I know about the rash. I havent had any problems whatsoever except for the night sweats. I'm going to go up to 200mg and I hope they dont get owrse. Im pretty bulletproof when it comes to stuff like rashes and allergies and such.

I tried cutting my caffeine intake in half yesterday & it seemed to help with the sweats. I *hate* looking like a dripping wet hotdog all the time; have noticed it gets worse when I get even slightly nervous. I'm going to ask the Dr about cutting back and then quitting Cymbalta. May be foolhardy to think I can face my anxiety unmedicated, but maybe if I build up my support systems & learn some decent coping mechanisms ...

just a pipe dream?

Must be whats been giving me the night sweats. It's the only drug I've been taking consistently for several years. All my other meds are more recent.
