I have been restatred on lexapro after i had a bad seretioum sydrome reaction when i was incresed to 20mg. So i had to go overseas to see my
good psyciatrist to write out a medical report to give back to my pdoc here in oz as he is useless and dosent even talk to me or know any answers
to questions i ask him! he just waites for the time to end then the next patient walks in and charges us $300 for about 45min. Anyway i travel overseas to see a great pdoc who explains everything to me and tells me exactly what treatment i need to be on an answers any questions i have to ask. So basicly i travel overseasto get good treatment lol!
So to cut a long story short i was on on lex a while back at 10mg and my pdoc overseas explained in the medical report that it was not to be increased to
20mg and that 10mg is the maxium for me. i take it for panic disorder and severe GAD she said that if i just had panic disorder on its own 5mg is enough
but because i have both panic disorder and GAD and i have 10mg, lex at higher doses e.g 20mg can be dangoures and is used for sevrer OCD.
So when i got back home i showed the report to my pdoc and he increased my dose to 20mg! So i went of lex as i got sick, and lucky i took 6mg of xanax to stop the seritium syndrome or else i would be in hospital. Anyway i have just arrived back overseas and was started on 5mg of lexapro and i am to take that for 2 weeks which tonight will be 2 weeks then increase to 10mg, Also i am to take 6mg of klonopin daily. 2mg upon waking, 2mg afternoon and 2mg just before bed along with the lex. The klonopin made me sleepy at the start but now after 2 weeks it has reached a steady blood level in my system and its working well.

Now i havent felt this better in my life the klonopin is used to help with my severe GAD and panic attacks and also the start up side affects from the lex,
which i have had none now, i am to take that dose of klonopin for 3 months then taper of it slowlly which she has writtin out a taper plan for me which
will take about a good 10months so i dont get bad withdrawl or dependence! So i just would like to see if anyone else has had this experince with starting
up lex and also using a anti anxiety mediction to take with it while the lex starts to work she said i need to give the lex a minium 6 weeks to start to work
so i m not going to rush anything this time and let it do its work! i know that lex is the best for GAD as i have heared great strories.

So i guess i will be in the lex room now and i hope that we can all support each other and talk about how its working for us!
