I have been on generic Luvox for maybe 2 1/2 weeks, and I don't feel it working. Some days I feel worse than I did without pills, others I just feel the same. I have been taking Zyrtec for my allergies before bed. They did say that you shouldn't take it with antidepressants but only because they both canmake you drowsy.

I was wondering if Zyrtec with SSRI's can effect you in other ways too? Could the mixture of the 2 meds be the reason why I have felt worse than normal this past week??

No..I think it is OK..to take both..I to have allergies..and i use a prescription Flonase for mine..and take prozac
Luvox is alot like prozac...and I think you will feel worse, before feeling better..<I have been on prozac now for 8 weeks..and now..I think it is starting to work completely...
hang in there..if you have questions..go see your doc...

I take Benedryl almost every night during the summer to help me sleep. If I don't I'm so congested that I just lay there for hours not being able to breath. I really want to try to get off the Benedryl soon, but for now it not only helps me fall asleep, but it helps with my allergies too. I only take 2 a night, never any during the day or any other time.

Hi yerp,

It is early days for your SSRI so give it a chance to get into your ststem. The mixture of both these medications shoult not really be an issue. If you are worried always see your Doc, but you need to be patient for the side effects of the SSRI to wear off and for it to be effective.

Best Wishes for your recovery
