Today was my seventh day on 20 mg of floxotine. I have had no side effects and nothing has changed with my anxiety or state of mind. I know that it can take time, weeks for the SSRI to kick in. I am worried that when the floux finally starts to work all the side effects will kick in too. I would hate to finally feel better and like myself again. Only to have to deal with all the side effects that I have been reading others have on prozac. I don't know to think that not having side effects right now is lucky or that I should brace myself! If anyone has any info for me or who started off in this same way I have. I would really appreciate the info. This is my first time taking a SSRI.

Thanks!!

hey HoneNFaith,
i had a similar experience with wellbutrin. i started it and was surprised to have no side effects at all. everyone reacts so differently to these drugs. i would say just take it one day at a time and see how it goes. it's great that you're having no side effects so try not to worry about possible side effects in the future. one day at a time.

I agree. See how it goes. It should start to help the depression somewhat at least in the next week or so. Be glad you have no side effects. Try not to worry. You may be one of the lucky ones with no s/e's and it just helps your depression. That would be great. Keep your doc advised how you are feeling.

Thanks for replying. I don't know what to be feeling right now. I know that it hasn't kicked in yet. I am so moody today. It's that time of the month.....
I will be so happy not dealing with PMS hopefully next month, lol! Your right take one day at a time. Thx!!

Hi HopeNFaith,

Yes the side efects may be minimal for you, I did not get much in the way of side effects on Prozac either, now on 40mg. Should kick in soon.
