Has anyone tried the antidepressant Savella (Milnacipran), which recently was approved for use in the US? This antidepressant is supposed to help both pain and depression. Any experiences with it good or bad? I am debating on whether or not to try Savella or Pamelor next as I have nerve pain and depression. I was on Neurontin/ Gabapentin, but this didn't help my pain and the withdrawal from it was rough for me even though the doctor told me that it would be easy to get off of. Any experiences with the Savella?

Thanks,
April

I've been on Cymbalta and it's in the same classification, so I wonder what the difference is! I take neurontin with the Cymbalta and the combination keeps the pain at a tolerable level. I tried Lyrica and even at the low dose, I felt tired all the time. I have had fibro for 30 years. Any new med may be worth a try if you haven't found relief..... It's been raining in Ohio about every day for two weeks and that's difficult for my body to tolerate. That and humidity make me ache, I don't care what med I'm on.
