Hey Folks
Remember that most of us at some time or another do Self Injure ourselves or have really low self esteem and low self confidence.
If you are posting anything that might potentially trigger someone ie if its something that has upset you badly or made you angry or made you hate yourself then add a WARNING.
Just add a few lines at the top of a Post such as
***POTENTIAL TRIGGER***
Which talks about cutting/self loathing/physical or sexual abuse, etc.

Try to leave five or six blank lines before typing your main message.
* No pictures of cuts or other forms of self injury
* No pictures using blood or other forms of self injury
* No graphic descriptions of self injury

Thanks. Remember we need to all of us keep ourselves safe. What is ok for you to read might become very distressing and triggering for another. THINK.
Take care

I wouldn't really put alot into this test as personality disorders are very hard to diagnose. Only a professional can make a proper diagnoses.
I gave my result's(which were quite high in most areas) to a pychiatrist and he bascially said it was rubbish.

Louie. Maybe you could show your results to a professional; or even better get a mental health assessment done under the nhs, which will be very helpful.

nah, no point. i no the first ones more a reflection of how i felt then, my paraniod was maybe higher then coz in the test it asks alot about wht other people think n well if it said im awful i tick it....anything bad i tick it.
this time i took the time to think about it more got
Paranoid: Very High
Schizotypal: Very High
Borderline: Very High
Avoidant: Very High

them the highest

this tests only a reflection of my own personalty which i agree does need to calm down in a few areas.....my cpn knows most of my personalty n thts probably wht where working on aswell as my self esteem so.

the only ones tht do worry me r the paraniod and schizotypal. thats about it though

You can't really reliably test personality disorders. One has to look over a long period of time and than see how much it interfers with life. I find that my results vary everytime I take that test. Also I think how we interpret the questions matters to.

On that note if there was any question you felt particularily strong about I might bring it up to your therapist.

--------------------
"If I could tell the world just one thing
It would be that we're all ok
And not to worry because worry is wasteful
and useless in times like these
I will not be made useless
I won't be idled with despair
I will gather myself around my faith
for light does the darkness most fear
My hands are small, I know,
but they're not yours they are my own
but they're not yours they are my own
and I am never broken "

((((tz))))

that is what i thought, that you can't rely on them for good unless you go to a doc and they happen to think the same thing. but i have felt that way for a long time now (it interferes with my life a lot), all those questions... i can write a paragraph about of how i feel about that particular question or how it relates to me... (it doesn't look pretty but then it isn't perfect and i rip it to pieces and start over *sigh*) ...i won't worry about it too much, i'll bring it up once i see my doc again (which will be a lil while).

life can be confusing when we are ill. But it helps to talk to people about it. Once you have five posts you can start a topic of your own to talk about things here with us.

Dependent: Very High
Obsessive-Compulsive: High

I do agree with them somewhat, its just that with every question there is always a bit of me that could be that way, its kinda hard to answer questions like that when you're not entirely sure yourself. I suppose thats the dependant part of me showing its ugly head...or is it? Urgh i hate my head.

I took one of the quizzed and here are the results
Disorder Rating Information
Paranoid: High
Schizoid: High
Schizotypal: Very High
Antisocial: Moderate
Borderline: Very High
Histrionic: Low
Narcissistic: Moderate
Avoidant: High
Dependent: High
Obsessive-Compulsive: Moderate
Some of this seems right on, I've been diagnosed BPD but I don't know about the others, there seems to be alot of overlap

I hope it goes ok with you at the dr. Only a dr can really diagnose people.

QUOTE(TwilightZephyr @ Nov 21 2005, 09:54 AM) *
I'm a sucker for tests...specially the Hypochondriac in me

anyways the 1st test I got

Avoidant and Borderline

the 2nd...

Disorder | Rating
Paranoid: Very High
Schizoid: High
Schizotypal: High
Antisocial: Moderate
Borderline: Low
Histrionic: Low
Narcissistic: Moderate
Avoidant: Moderate
Dependent: Low
Obsessive-Compulsive: Low

I find it funny that borderline here is low

I took this tests again, now that my depression is in remission. Here's my new results.

Paranoid Personality

Schizoid Personality

Schizotypal Personality

Borderline Personality

Disorder | Rating
Paranoid: High
Schizoid: High
Schizotypal: Moderate
Antisocial: High
Borderline: Moderate
Histrionic: Low
Narcissistic: High
Avoidant: Moderate
Dependent: Moderate
Obsessive-Compulsive: Low

Kind of interesting to look at the variation.

And yeah you do want to be careful with self diagnoses. I'm very god at doing that myself...I've thought I've had bpd for the past year, but I'm starting to realize I don't.

Rain Queen only a professional can really make a diagnosis. I'd really recommend that you go to your dr and ask for help. You don't need to suffer the way you are.
Yes there is hope.

Well I am new to this forum,I am hoping it might give me some better insight, though I admit I resisted seeking the password for ages, why,I did'nt like the sound of 'personality disorder',I knew, but I did'nt want to be told.

But I have been brave and like so many here took the tests and got what I expected really.Admittedly,I was getting fed up with answering yes to everything in the tests and so came to an obvious result, but I wonder if similar results would be obtained by others,i.e. non suffers of health problems.

I think you are right silverclaws, remember though that online tests must be taken with a pinch of salt only a professional can give an accurate diagnosis and even then sometimes they can get it wrong depending on their personal feelings towards the ideas of Personality Disorders/PTSD etc.

My own pdoc is thinking of getting a second opinion on me after 6 years LOL.
