Hey Folks
Remember that most of us at some time or another do Self Injure ourselves or have really low self esteem and low self confidence.
If you are posting anything that might potentially trigger someone ie if its something that has upset you badly or made you angry or made you hate yourself then add a WARNING.
Just add a few lines at the top of a Post such as
***POTENTIAL TRIGGER***
Which talks about cutting/self loathing/physical or sexual abuse, etc.

Try to leave five or six blank lines before typing your main message.
* No pictures of cuts or other forms of self injury
* No pictures using blood or other forms of self injury
* No graphic descriptions of self injury

Thanks. Remember we need to all of us keep ourselves safe. What is ok for you to read might become very distressing and triggering for another. THINK.
Take care

Obsessive-compulsive personality disorder: LAW FIRMS (4 criteria).

L: Loses point of activity (due to preoccupation with detail)
A: Ability to complete tasks (compromised by perfectionism)
W: Worthless objects (unable to discard)

I: Inflexible, scrupulous, overconscientious (on ethics, values, or morality, not
accounted for by religion or culture)
R: Reluctant to delegate (unless others submit to exact guidelines)
M: Miserly (toward self and others)
S: Stubbornness (and rigidity)

well I have the following criteria, I wonder if that means I have a tendancy to OCD -

I do have heaps of things I can't throw away although I do seem to be getting better.  Just threw out a heap of old, worn out, old clothes last week.   And as I haven't been at work for about a year and a half I haven't been concentrating on work to the exclusion of friends.

The L and F are only touched on, do not have those traits strongly.

Heh - I have LFIS to varying extents.  I was once diagnosed with OCPD, but didn't understand what the diagnosis meant even after researching it - this explanation makes a lot more sense.

My Therapist said she thought I was OCD. I guess it might be true.  :mad1:
