Hello all,

I'm about to trial Effexor XR 37.5mg as a migraine preventative medication and for AD. I've been on Klonopin before (.5mg/day) and had to wean off of that over the course of 5 months. The method I used to wean off of the Klonopin was:
1. crush up pill into a powder
2. mix with 100ml of milk
3. remove 1ml of solution each day
4. drink remainder of solution

This method worked pretty well even though I had some tough spots.

Now my questions:
1. What is a good method to ramp up to the 37.5mg/day? I suspect something like taking ~1/2 the beads in the capsule.

2. if Effexor XR doesn't work for me (I'm only going up to 37.5mg/day), what is a good method to taper down from it? It seems counting the beads may not be very accurate. At such a low dose, are withdrawal effects significant? How long do the withdrawal effects last?

Appreciate any thoughts on these questions!

Thanks
