Mike,
If Zoloft is working for you, that's excellent. I guess your doc has his reasons for not prescribing Aurorix. There is a 'treatment recommendations for depression flow chart' online which is used at the Harvard Medical School. I found it quite interesting..perhaps you might to? I guess things may be a little different in Aust., but the flow chart gave me a general idea of how and why particular anti-d's are prescribed. PM me if you'd like the link :)
Sonnegirl,
It can be depressing in itself, trying so many meds and not finding the right one. Sounds like you have really been through the ringer. Glad to hear you found the right med for you with moclobemide. Thanks for answering my question...I am actually finding that sleep is coming easier now. I'm taking Valerian which is helping. That's interesting re: the medic alert...thanks for the tip!
A coupla things I'm noticing since starting on Aurorix is a reduction in my desire to 1./ eat ..and 2./ smoke. I'm losing weight quite quickly actually, which isn't a bad thing! Need to lose quite a bit. Not smoking as much is better for my health and my hip pocket. So pretty happy about these developments! I'm not feeling quite so foggy headed, flat, anxious this evening. It could be a diurnal mood lift...but I'm hoping not.
Be great to hear how Neuron is going (given that this is his thread). Perhaps he is doing so well he is out and about enjoying life? Hope so!
Sw
