I'm doing well in managing my depression etc symptoms, and with the support and approval of my treatment team, I've begun reducing the dose of my mirtazapine. Am currently down from 30mg every day, as of the past 4 years, to now 15 and 30 mg on alternate days, with a view to 15mg every day come Friday. We'll see.

I'm managing pretty well so far.

To start with I felt fine, although my mind was very fast. Then a couple of weeks or so in I had really severe dizziness, and had to take a week off work. Now I'm feeling vulnerable and a bit more paranoid than my baseline. But I'm containing it safely.

Anyone else have bad dizziness with dose reduction or withdrawal?

Hi achingheart,

I have been on remeron for a long time and I am still on it so from personal experience I couldn't tell you. I have heard that a lot of people do have dizziness as a with draw symptom along with anxiety and paranoia. If you are experiencing paranoia you should also let your pdoc know as this could also be from something else like maybe the fact of being off work and then going back, this can also be from with draw. I'm not a professional but I guess I have never really heard of someone being bounced back and forth from 15 and 30 mg like that. I have only seen where maybe every other day you might take the same dose and once you are stabilized with that dose then do the same thing with the lower dose.

Nurturing
As we plant the seeds for a flower bed, we must nurture those seeds by watering and weeding so that the flowers may become beautiful and strong. Without the nurturing they may whither away.
As we plant the seeds for our gardens to grow our foods, we must nurture those seeds with watering and weeding so that the garden may give plenty of the food we need. Without the nurturing we may go hungry.

As humans we have seeds planted within our hearts, souls and minds, those seeds must also be nurtured with tender love and care so that we may feel, see and think better. Like weeding the flowers and gardens we must also weed out the bad thoughts and feelings that we suffer with any type of illnesses. Give yourself some nurturing and let others support that nurturing in weeding out the bad seeds and replacing them with seeds of love and peace of mind, we all have right and the ability to see that the world is a beautiful sight just as the beauty within ourselves. By nurturing, we won't go hungry and whither away with our illnesses.
