My son started to develope a rash on his arms yesterday. By the time he got out of school today it was a raised, blistery type rash all over his hands up to his shoulders. I called the pdoc who instructed me to take him straight to ER. He had blood test, was looked at by several people and all think it is the lamictal rash. So no more lamictal for him. He had to get a shot of steroids and benedryl. He has to keep taking benedryl until the rash is gone. He has been on Lamictal since the end of Febuary so who would have thought he would get a rash now. Just goes to show you that it can happen anytime. If you get a rash and you are on lamictal, see your doctor!!!
