I just titrated up from 2 weeks at 50mg Lamictal to 100mg and have noticed some increase in interest in sex (which I have had absolutely zero interest in for about the last 5 years). Has anyone else had this, or is it just some sort of strange astrological thing that must be going on?

Libido SE's vary from one pmed to another. Loss of libido is more common in most people. You can always Google Lamictal for full information regarding the various side effects.

How are things going for you now? That would be awesome if it helped sex drive for me and my husband. I have been almost the same way with little to no drive for the past 3 years. I was just perscribed Lamictal today and the only other thing I take with it is a benzo prn. I will let you know how I progress with it. Let me know how your third week has progressed is it helping you at all?

I have only been on 25mg of Lamictal for four days and have noticed a big increase in my libido. I'm a 60 year old woman and am very surprised. My boyfriend is happy, but I don't want to be ruled by my id. I have the headache thing too, but I can tolerate it if I take 600mg of ibuprofen twice a day. I hope both don't get worse when I titrate up to the 100mg target dose! LOL Hope I was some help. Zipporah

After changing to Lamictan and Remeron my Libido came racing back Yipeeee!! Been on it for over a year with no problems in that department. I suspect that these drugs dont necessarily highten your libido but rather that the lack of depression brings it back to normal.
