HI Manta, welcome to DF welcomeani.gif

I really wouldn't up your dose further without checking with your doctor. You don't want to get used to a higher dose of something if you don't need it. It's good you're figuring things out but always get your doc's advice before changing your meds in any way.

Your symptoms have a similar profile to mine with the fatigue and brain fog... definately talk to your doctor first though, you should be having a regular dialog with him/her

Hi manta,

It is often a danger to 'play around' trying a different dose without medical supervision as it may cause you problems. I agree that you should stick with an 'effective' dose and then stay on that dose. Otherwise you run the risk of the meds not working/becoming ineffective in the future.

So always get your Docs support, find the right level and stay on that level until your Doc thinks otherwise, with your input. I have changed my own meds a few times and eventually got it right, but some meds 'poop' if you play around with the doses.

Best Wishes, hang on in there

Thanks for the replies-I have started to feel good again an dhaving moments or great peace or moments of feeling normal-I also feel that I seemed to have turned a corner and the ups are more than the downs -I reconize the down feeling as when this first started so am pretty clear that Im adressing the right problem-I hear you all about self mediction and dont suggest anyone to do this-I have had some experience with "self medicating" and know my bodies rections well-I dont have the cash to do this trhough the doc so i had no choice although again I would not advicse this route to others-each persons chemistry is different and a lot can go askew-So since i have had my gradual increase things have gottem much better I will be in touch with my doc when I can and let him know the progress-I really cant stress enough how much my health means to me -being ill ha staught me a lot and if i can help others so they dont have to go through what i have then its been well worth it-I know that meds isnt the final solution and those other areas like diet ,exercise and a spiritual nuture and key to wellness and wholeness-these are my own opinions -work what works for you-Ill keep you posted -im off to go and have a laugh for a change-peace
