I've been on Pristiq for nearly three months, and the results have been fantastic. I kind of dig the "intense dream" side-effect as my dreams are not negative, just interesting. It's not doing as much to help with my ADD, but oh well...

Anyway, I've noticed that it's a little harder for me to achieve orgasm with the Pristiq - sex seems to last longer, which my wife loves, but it is hard for me to "finish." I stay erect the whole time, but with a condom on, it's really difficult to get to orgasm. Not the worst problem in the world, just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences, and knows if there's a prescription solution.

I don't take any other medicines, except for some vitamins and supplements.

Thanks in advance

I'm on Effexor. I'm female though, so I don't know how relevant my personal experience would be to you, but I guess our bodies work nearly the same? I do find that I have had problems reaching climax since I've started my antidepressants. I think it's just a side effect that we have to deal with. I have not heard of any medication solutions. I have a really thoughtful partner that doesn't mind the longer intimate time. Sometimes though, I have to "take over" in order for me to get any release at all. Hope this helps.

i'm experiencing this problem too, but i'm female...
wellbutrin can combat ssri/snri sexual side effects, but that med isn't tolerated well by many people.
i take 300mg of that with pristiq and it helps with reaching orgasm.
im loving pristiq right now...
