Hello Everyone, im a newbiwe on here! i have been suffering from Panic disorder and GAD for about 4 years now
and have been on different meds. first i was put on paxil 40mg which helped me but made me gain weight and felt
like i had low blood sugar, when i never did! i was put on Lexapro 10mg which wasnt working as well as my pdoc
wanted it to, so he upped the dose to 20mg which i had a bad reaction to (seritoum syndrome). I am now currently
on Effexor Xr and have been for 8 days. Has anyone here who suffers from panic disorder and GAD been on a similar
ride as me? and has Effexor XR worked for you with treating specifically anxiety and panic, or is it just a med that is
better for depression?

I am also taking klonopin now which has helped me to get of my addiction with xanax.

Sorry to hear you're suffering and having to through a few hoops to find the correct medication. I don't take Effexor myself but I am sure that others will have some valuable experience. I see you've found the Effexor room as well. A search of some of the threads there may give you some advice whilst you're waiting for a response.
