I have been taking Cymbalta for about 9 weeks and have experienced about a 10 lb gain and sometimes a general bloating feeling. Does anyone know if the gain goes away or if I should maybe try Effexor XR? I tried effexor for 3 days and had a little bit trouble thinking clearly so I temporarily stopped, I was wondering if that eventually goes away and if the weight gain is less than the Cymbalta. Also what about sexual side effects with both the medicines?

I have taken both and in the long run I had far less side effects with effexor. Cymbalta made me want to be an alcoholic and an impulsive spender. I was not a pleasent person.
