I take 1 klonopin 0.5 once at lunch and 1-2 0.5 klonopin ( I believe the generic is clonazapam) at bed. If I get badly depressed I can add up to 4- 0.5 xanax for a total of no more than 2 mg per day. I have had one pdoc say they are the same thing, but the prescibing pdoc and from personal experience they are not the same. Check the drugs out for yourself at one of the pharmacy sites or ask your pharmacists for help. Though I take the generic for both the real names are written with Gen. out to the side on the bottle.

They both help me along with a combination of other pdrugs.

A good pdoc must be a good chemist--in order to mix the correct dosages with different combinations of drugs for the depression of each individual person. Sounds like yours is trying to get the correct mix for you. It is hard to find the right mix as it can only come from trial and error on his/her part and the way your body reacts to it.
