What do you find most helpful?

Thanks KA! I use the Portal to also see new threads, to see who is signed on, how many are in the chat, and to view the beautiful photos that Lindsay posts there! I love the Portal and visit it every day! hearts.gif Thanks for posting this poll!

I voted for daily....but that isn't totally true........however I am going to set the DF portal to my favourites instead of the forums.........that way I don't forget to stop by Coopwink.gif

I use the portal to check :
* information on mental health disorders
* the pictures of the month
* the shout-out
* breaking news

I feel badly that members are not noticing our home page 'Portal' and taking advantage of what depressionforums has to offer. Very few members do not even use the shout box on the main menu! oops.gif (We can start using it rolleyes.gif )

There is a week long series in the middle of the Portal under "Stories". The last column. It's about a family
"Schizophrenia, one family's story - Voices in his head ". I started it yesterday, but if you click on News in the menu on the left of the Portal and click on 'Stories' you will see both entries.
It's fascinating...a great insight into the world of mental health and it is so touching.
Please read it. You can also comment to any article in the Portal by clicking on 'comment'. Coopwink.gif

Please members if you have a chance to go look at your home page,let us know by answering this poll and posting in here...

I see the Portal every time I check in because it's in my Favourites. I look for:
Breaking news on Mental Health (I really appreciated the news on VNS!)
Those gorgeous pictures on the upper right corner *shhhhhh I've saved many of them to my Pictures!*
Recent threads...many times this is my jump-off point, as I go to check these out
I also like to see if there is anything new in drugs
And learn something about mental health issues that I am not familiar with
It is a very nice-looking home page and does the forums proud! Glad to have the opportunity to give my opinion, KA Coopclapping.gif

I use it often, for info on meds, news, and info related to mental illness. Yeah, I'm the guy you see standing in the grocery store aisle reading the back of the box of everything I pick up! Too curious for my own good, I guess....

I do check on the portal, however I find that I spend most of the time staring at the page instead of reading any it. I am sorry will "TRY" to read it more often.

i had never realised what the portal was, my favourites were set to take me straight to the forums. but now that i have seen the good stuff at the portal i will change my settings i think so that i will visit there first. i also just love the word 'portal' it sounds so futuristic.

Like, if I go to DF on my mobile browser and try to login so I can reply to a post, I can't. I mean I can see the page and fill out my Username and Password, but it doesn't recognize my info. But, I can login to other sites okay. wub.gif

Unfortunately, currently, there is no mobile version of DF. To make DF work on mobile phones requires some changes that will be made later in the year, so in a few months, it should be possible, but not just yet.
