most of us get crazy, weird, vivid dreams.  What could they be telling us?

My therpist in the Therapeutic Community I attend says that dreams show us elements of ourselves.  Its just sometimes so weird trying to understand them.

what dreams do you have/remember?

good or bad, lets see if we can help each other out.

If you do want help in 'understanding' it let us know if something in your dream reminds you of something that is going on in your life.

For instance one element in my dream last night was someone being given a packet of papadums that had a small packet of 'midges' in the packet.  And the papadums were given to a prisoner, and it was the prisioner that opened the 'midges' but these turned out to mate and reproduce themselves and then look for the nearest food source which was the prisoner.  So in my dream these 'midges' ate the prisoner, stripped the body.  The folk who were the target of the killer papadums  had to seal off the area and say not to let anyone in for 15 days.

So what is my mind telling me?   Possibly that I am feeling under threat and that by accepting help that I will be stripped bare.  Left vulnerable, the death of my old self.

I don't analyse any more, my mind's too busy

I tend to dream about people from the past, probably someone I haven't thought of for YEARS.  The dreams are vivid, fast and long.  On effexor I felt worn out so changed to Lexapro: just the same.  It's a side effect I'm having to learn to live with.

People are all jumbled up from far and recent past; in old or recent situations.   If I see an item on the  news it tends to trigger a dream within 2 nights.  So the brain mixes a person from the past with a news item - weird!  Things that are never likely to happen - weird!  People I haven't thought of for YEARS - weird!

It gets me down first thing in the mornign because I am SO tired I just want to sleep in and my head feels to heavy so I don't drive very far.

It's better than being depressed though!
