Hello,

I'm suffering from depression, panic disorder and social phobia. I currently take 30mg of Remeron for depression and 50mg of Zoloft for depression and panic plus 2mg of clonazepam for social phobia. I have recurring depression and this relapse I have been on sick leave for about six months. I have tried virtually every antidepressants along with different augmentors and mood stailizers.

Now, I'm going to add Wellbutrin 150mg/day to my current combo. Does anyone has experience of this combo? Would you consider it a safe combo?

Kind regards,
Mattias

Yes!!! I've been on it for years, and the Wellbutrin/SSRI combo gets more popular with doctors and their patients every year. LOTS of people on this site need their dopamine and noradrenaline tweaked in addition to serotonin. The Wb/SSRI combo hits all three major neurotransmitters. Highly recommended.

Rx's: Effexor, Lexapro, Lex/Wellbutrin, Wellbutrin, Buspar/Wellbutrin, Zoloft/Wellbutrin, Stablon, Cymbalta. Oh, and Xanax and trazodone from time to time.

Yes, I know that Wellbutrin+SSRI combos are frequently used, but in my case I also take 30mg Remeron. I wonder if that can lead to complications.

Hi floorguy,

I agree that combination you are going on is not that unusual, and you really should have little problems with the Remeron either.

I do understand your concerns so go and see your Doctor and get him to advice you. These drugs do interact with each other and it is only time that will tell you if this combination is for you.

Do get professional guidence.

Hi,

bupropion is only marketed here as an aid for smoking cessation, so pdocs here, including my own have no experience with it. He did prescribe although he had some concerns about serotonin syndrom, I replied bupropion does very weakly affect SET. I think I will discontinue Zoloft before initiating bupropion, just to be safe, it doesn't do anything for my depression anyway.
