Food. As my days have been full, slower now, but full, I find that I think less about food. I'm not thinking ahead to the next meal all the time. There are some mornings that I think eating is a pain in the arse, mainly because I'm so picky. I've been using cognitive strategies to counter my maladaptive thoughts and anxiety, and I think it's decreasing the urge to overeat to numb myself.

This morning, I had popcorn and dried apricots for breakfast. Had a light, frozen meal for lunch. My bud wanted hot dogs for dinner, so we had that and mashed potatoes. Not the greatest nutrition, but I didn't overeat.

I did about an hour of yard work this morning, which is always good exercise. Then I got another hour in this afternoon, and another 30 minutes this evening. Well, the hour this afternoon should be maybe 30 minutes. I spent a good deal of time speaking with my new neighbor. I love a neighborhood where you can talk to your neighbors. I met Peter next door and Milton behind us. Both very kind and helpful.

I'm going downstairs to do a bit of Wii Fit. I want to do at least the body test every day. Can't do too much tonight because the final project in my programming course is kicking me around lately. I've got to figure this out before May 1st.

I have moved this post from the Overweight thread that has fallen by the wayside lately. I'm here to support PRT's moderating job and hopefully be inspired and inspire others.
