Hi, i was wondering if anyone would have any useful advice for my problem. About 6 months ago i finished a course in 3d animation (it was only 10 months long). I really want to do this for a career but when i approached a couple of companies with my short animation they said my skill wasn't up there yet. So i've decided to focus instead on creating 3d models, as you can get work specializing and i'm naturally good at art.
Trouble is i just can't for the life of me motivate myself to work on this stuff. I don't understand it, i know with practice i could get good as some of my past character modeling i'm quite pleased with. But every time i sit in front of the computer to work on this character that i've only just started i just suddenly cannot be bothered and close the program down.
I've tried just aiming to do at least a minimum of 15 mins each day but when i've tried that i just ended buggering about and am glad when the 15 mins is up. The trouble is i feel like 3d modeling is difficult for me, even though it shouldn't be this difficult. Its been this way for the past few months, i keep trying but keep failing, i have no job and my life is going nowhere fast.
I feel like i have 3d artists block. Any suggestions?
