I am all for fighting the stigma of mental illness....im a very outspoken person. But i was just wondering...does anyone know what the awareness ribbon is for mental illnes/health awareness (in general) is?

They have one for everything...like breast cancer, autism, support our troops....but what is ours?

I've looked it up on some sites but i'm confused on whether its blue or grey or green....i would like to wear a ribbon that represents the cause i'm fighting for. smile.gif

Hi SmilingElephant

I am so glad that you are fighting the stigma. That is fantastic.
I do not know either, but have you tried to contact NAMI, if anyone knows, they will.

Hi Smilng Elephant, Blue is not used. Both green and grey are listed as for mental illness and can be used. I did some searching for braclets recently. I'm thinking that I found grey to be the color for bracelets. Also, grey is used for apparely supporting mental illness.

Yes...i think its only appropriate for us to have our own ribbon as a reminder to keep fighting.

The Silver ribbon is our ribbon smile.gif

Are there any marathons or charities set up for Mental Illness? I often wonder what all is being done for us? Besides doctors inventing new pills? ermm.gif

Hi SmilingElephant

If you contact Nami, they do all sorts for Mental Health and have branches all over the place.
They do walks, conferences and all sorts.
