SUICIDE INTERVENTION


To Our DepressionForums Members:

We fully realize that many members on this forum are at an early stage of recovery and are still quite depressed themselves. Therefore, we recognize that many individuals are not in the proper state of mind or at a point in their recovery where they can personally offer help.

We ask you to take one simple step. Should you be the first person to come across a post from an individual stating that they are suicidal, please inform them that we have a special section at the top of the board for crisis/suicide intervention and that they should go there now to find the professional help they need.

All that we ask is that rather than letting a post sit unanswered is that a minimal post with proper redirection is sent. It is totally up to you to decide if you wish to have further involvement at that moment.
