As above, what's the difference between social anxiety disorder and avoidant personality disorder?

I am not a professional and do not know the exact differences but Social Anxiety is a fear of going out in public and dealing with people and Avoidant Personality Disorder is fairly different, as its not fear based, it's generally when people withdraw or isolate, also can come with memory loss, people with APD actually go into a dark pit in their minds and suddenly withdraw, sometimes for days, weeks, months, become highly confused and disorientated.

Okay thanks, I've been trying to figure out the difference by looking at different sites on the internet, but they all give a different description and symptoms for APD, some of their descriptions sound exactly like me, but some of the others I'm like "No way is that me!!".
