Can anyone offer any suggestions for me? I'm 65 yrs. old had breast cancer with lumpectomy and radiation in 05-06. So far everything is ok and I've been on Effexor XR for over a year at 75mg. Can't tolerate anything higher. I thought Effexor was suppose to help with hot flashes but in my case it hasn't done a thing. I'm so hot my face is wet with sweat, my neck (front and back) are soaked. I haven't worn makeup in the past week because my face is just so sweaty it feels awful. I even use Bare Minerals which is the best to use if your hot but can't even stand that.

Right now the AC is on but if I as much as move I break out in a sweat that's awful. I hate this. Here's one lady that can't wait for winter. I can even stand to keep the thermostat very low but my husband says I'm going to freeze him out.

Has anyone ever had this and did anything help? I think I tried neurontin some years ago and couldn't take it for some reason.
