Hello,

I was diagnosed with bipolar years ago and managed to go untreated for years. Incredibly LOOOOOOOOOONG story short (would HATE to bore ya), I am back under psyc care and was 'rediagnosed' with bipolar.

I was wondering how active these forums are.

Second.. what do YOU take for your meds?

I am just curious.

Are you BP I or II? It's amazing that you went untreated for so long (I did too and always wondered what was wrong.)

This is a fairly active room. Summertime and weekends are a bit slower than the rest of the year. You may want to join in the "Friends" thread and meet others with BP.

Glad that you are under the care of a pdoc. What meds are you taking? I'm BP I and take a combo of Zoloft, Imipramine, Risperdol, Lamictal and gabapentin.

For meds I take Lexapro and Lamictal, and I'm trying to wean off the Seroquel (the small benefit I'm getting is not worth the side effects). I'll probably increase the Lamictal to compensate, but not until I'm completely off of Seroquel.

Sheepwoman's right...BP I or II tend to come with different med packages, along with mixed states, other disorders, daily habitats, etc. You'll have to talk with your doctor to figure out what's best for you.

I think my tendancies are more rapid cycling..

I have been on anti depressants for years now and couldn't figure out WHY I kept having these strage episodes that shifted me out of control. NOW I know.

I am on, Lithium (now.. just got it this week), Wellbutrin and Prozac.. although I have read that prozac and lithium can cause issues.

Does any one know anything about htat?

I'll try looking into the 'friends' thread.

I've taken the Lithium + Prozac combo and had no problems with it.
