heello. Congrats!, really good site.
my english sux but i will try. Iv been on depression last 13 years of my life (when i start adolecense), but just now i started treatment (too long waiting). Well, according my doctor, the instruction was: "take 25mg for a week then turn to 50mg".
first week zero effects, only a little dry mouth. after 9 days (2 on 50mg) i woke up feeling happy. was so weird to actually feel good. i was forgotten how it feels.most amazing day. i keep like that like 4 days. all my senses change: I wanst needing a stove all day, my body temperature was just good. my body posture, i wanted to exercise, do all thing i like. the first woman i saw (even not my type:))), i fall in love. now i know how crushes or love must be. its like for the past 13years all my senses where cover by a black blanket, when my move was on the best time of the day, even for 1 hr, i feel like the blanket wasnt there. ( was feeling some pick hours on my move..not all day the same. but generally good.)
one day i woke up worst.. 5 days past and i keep feeling kinda before taking the med. most of the time i was thinking "mmm how i am feeling" but it was hard to concentrate on my move. just knew it was depressed.
next day. feeling bad, suddenly i started to feel something, and keep feeling better and better until after feeling really good i started to normalize. finishing like on the middle, not depressed, but also no normal. now im on the middle.
i know achieve good result takes lots of time. but i have a few questions, to see if im on the right track. before my next appointment with the doc.
¿ its normal start good, then fall, then up again?...Im interested on experiences, how u feel this changes, cuz i now if i ask my doctor i would get a really boring answer.
everybody is a total different experience.. but ¿ any of u have past my something simmilar?? im on sertraline just like 2X days, but my scariest tought is never feel again like that day i woke up feeling good. U now what i mean?.. that day, when i knew it was OK, without any doubt. instead of receiving once on a while, just the feeling of not been on pain.
CONGRATS AGAIN!, REALLY COMPLETE SITE.

newtech Sometimes it can take a few months for it to fully "kick" in. I didn't experience much improvement for around 3 or 4 months on Zoloft (Sertraline) and I was about to give up on it! It can take awhile to get the right dosage and the right medication, but try to hang in there.

I think you will feel better soon. Just give the medication time to work. It is a gradual process. First a had only few good days, then the good times got longer and now i am feeling good most of the time.

thx 4the replyes. yeap, i have good expectations, sertraline seems to rox. How long have u been on zoloft? For me its been almost 3 weeks I feel less anxious although Im still avoiding my friends and partying. Dont know why but every time i get depressed i practically go to Barnes and Nobles everyday, its just an escape for me. Oh also i started reading Prozac Nation again, seems to be like a kind of therapy for me.

QUOTE (newtech @ Jul 29 2008, 07:28 PM) >Hola:), no.. Chile, saludos English: Ive also noticed difference on zoloft and its been almost 3 weeks. I do exercise which of course takes the edge off but i had now idea that zoloft and exercise interacted with one another (endorphins, setraline ??). Well good luck and hope the improvement continues.

The observations about the combination of physical exercise and Zoloft are intriguing to me too, as I am, both, getting ready to start up on Zoloft again, and also thinking about resuming regular workouts at the gym. I would be interested to hear more (from newtech and others) about experiences where the two are involved....

Heelllo!. yesterday i complete a month on sertraline. working really well. since my last post i improve a lot. im starting to think, even once in a while "mm finally im ok".
i visit my doctor and answer my doubts: - my highs/happy mood after only 8 days on sertraline, was something extremly weird, but some of his pacients experiment simmilar effects....he was amazed by my improve. also about my "attacks of happiness", getting the same answer. about those "attacks" im thinking maybe i was so damage that i forgot how a happy moments are like..thats why the sensation seems soo weird (in a good way). now its my 3rd day with 100mg dose, and its going well.
About sports:
everyone knows sports makes u feel good. but when i was really bad even sports did the job. besides serotonin (zoloft), theres a lot of neurotransmissors in charge, so i dont know if actually sports and zoloft are strictly on the same. only i can say almost all my "happy moments" are after exercise. so i recommend it.
