I'm wondering does Zoloft affect your libido. I notice in 2 weeks I lost my interest in having sex. I used to have a high libido and now I don't have one. It upsetting my husband and he thinks I don't love him anymore. I also notice that I don't like being kissed, hugged and hold hands not as much as I used to.

Am I the only one having this problem with being on Zoloft?

Hi,

Zoloft has many bad side effects.
One of them is loss of libido.

I think that all of the SSRI drugs have this side effect.
SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors).

Remeron is an antidepressant that will not affect your sex life.
The same goes for Wellbutrin.

Best regards,

Several of the meds do impede on a persons libido. Sometimes the side effect goes away in time. And maybe its just starting a med that has you feeling that way. Don't rush your self. Take your time and talk to you Dr.

I haven't had much of a libido in a while. When I was in my late teens 18-20...I was very promiscuous....bad thing...and now I don't have much of one at all...poor hubby. good thing there are other ways to satisfy him...lol.

My sex drive died an untimely death when I started taking Zoloft. Sigh, it will be missed.

Yes, it WILL lower your libido. I decided to deal with it at one point.. and we upped my dose.. and then.. I couldn't achieve to get where the goal is.. if you know what I mean. Yeah.. I had to switch meds. Wellbutrin doesn't have those side effects.
