I'm not entirely sure, but if I were to guess, Social Paranoia is when you see people talking or laughing and you think that they're talking about you in a bad way or laughing at you. Social anxiety would be a general uneasy feeling when in groups of people. If I'm correct I am pretty sure I suffer from both.

That's an interesting question. I hadn't heard the term 'social paranoia' before. But I definitely have it, as part of my PTSD. I would say that social paranoia is a more severe form of social anxiety, kind of linked up to avoidant personality...

Hey,

I had never heard that term before myself but believe I had it to some degree when I was younger. I remember walking into a room and instantly feeling like people were judging or critiquing me in some way. I had a friend years ago and I believe she definitely had it. She would tell me that people in restaurants were watching her eat or that people in the grocery store used to watch what she purchased. Maybe she was just paranoid, paranoid but after reading this I believe she may have had what you mentioned. I still don't know the clear definition of what your describing but it sounds like a more severe case of social anxiety.

I didn't know there was a difference between social paranoia and social anxiety. If there is I got both.

Lucky me!
