Have any of you ever been in a realtionship with some one and then start taking Zoloft and it just seemed to make you lose interest in your partner?

I have heard that a persons drive can be lowered. But to lose interest in a person? I would let your Dr. know what's up. Maybe the Dr. can answer you better.

The way you phrased your sentence, makes it sound like the Zoloft can be blamed for losing a partner.
And I will say ... no.

If anything, the depression itself is causing your feelings of numbness.
The medication may not be effective in lifting your depression. But this may or may not be the case based on your dosage, etc.

Antidepressants tend to make me numb to most feelings, including love & affection, but ironically not sadness. I recently had this experience with Cymbalta, I knew I loved my boyfriend, put actually felt nothing for him. It can be very confusing. I had to force myself to imagine losing him to evoke some emotion out of myself, & when those thoughts of heartbreak manifested into emotions I knew how I truly felt.

When I started Zoloft I realised how wrong my boyfriend was for me. I love him, always will. The thing is that I could not allow myself to continue down a road so wrong for me. I was condeming myself to a life time of unhappiness by hanging on. I think the Zoloft helped me to see things more clearly.

I have seen people regain their confidence and realize that they were with the person for the wrong reasons. With their new found confidence, they realized that the wanted more.
