I think we often dwell on the negatives of what we are going through and I would like to share some positives as we are less likely to post those.

I am happy to say that:

1. Lexapro is working well for me with little to no SE anymore and it has only been 6 1/2 weeks on it.
2. I have a major decrease in my obsessive thoughts, I dont really worry about the useless stuff I use to worry about.
3. I havent had that panicky, anxious feeling in a few weeks.
4. I havent suffered with PMS the past 2 cycles, this is a blessing.
5. I feel like my old self.

Please share you positve thoughts on your meds/condition.

Nice to hear that you're doing good Nole. So am I *touchwood*. I'm on week 4 of generic lexapro and feel like my old self. It has done wonders for my severe depression. Actually I'm noticing improvements each day and I believe it can take upto 2/3 months for the full benefits to sink in. On the flip side, I'm feeling so complacent and content that I'm beginning to worry if I have any motivation left to do anything in life. But when I think hard, I've always been this way and I'm not sure how I achieved whatever I did in life. I'm looking for stories from people who have benifitted from therapy to overcome their motivation problems (or to put it crudely, slothful/indolent attitude). Can therapy benefit me?

I am a pretty motivated person by nature so I dont know how to overcome not being motivated. Just get yourself up and doing things, once you get started I am sure you will gtet yourself going and get things done. '

I will say that today I feel like doing nothing and am tired, but hey we all get days like that.

That's awfully practical advice. I'm looking for some impractical, long winded, circuitous advice that can help me wallow in self pity without my having to really do anything.

But I get the drift. I need a swift kick in my butt.

LOL, well I am a pretty practical person, no long winded advice here, I get straight to the point. But I have found on days I dont feel like doing much, like today (my 2 year old had me up way too early this morning) I get out in the fresh air, go for a walk and often my energy comes back at least for alittle bit. But there is nothing wrong with taking a nap every now and then either. smile.gif
