I have been on 20 mg for the past 2 weeks as I completley stopped taking them in Jan after being on them for a year.

I was on 40 mg before, and the doctors just put me on 20 mg - I feel awful and not functioning properly - shall I ask to be stepped up to the 40 mg or persevere a bit longer? I have read that it can take 4 weeks to see any improvement and that you do feel worse before you feel better (which is how I feel now!).

Are your doctors trying to get you on it slowly? It is normal to start someone on a lower dose and increase it over time to avoid some side effects. This might be what your doctor is trying to do for you.

I was on 60 and then 40 for post natal depression. I came off at 40 in January and now they have put me back on at 20, when I thought they would have put me back on at 40, considering how bad I was before?
