Whenever I'm not having awful nightmares, I have dreams that are really similar to my waking life: people are pulling me in all directions to do this or that, my phone is constantly ringing, I am dodging back and forth from one project to the next. I am so tired when I wake up. It happened again today and I am trying to not start crying because I have to actually do much of that running around today.

Does anyone else have "active" dreams like this?

I do too! And it almost feels like you're actually kinda awake the whole night. You wake up not rested. I've been going through this for just about a month now...Hang in there, I'm waiting for my AD's to fully kick in...DARN tired of waiting! Just trying to stay SANE! You're not alone! hugs.gif

It's normal to have vivid dreams while adjusting to meds. It goes away. Mine weren't really bad and I sorta miss them. I saw lots of people I miss due to not socializing that much when the depression hit. I've contacted them a couple of times, since. I think there's some revealing stuff going on with your dreams. Maybe you need to set some limits with people in real life and live your life for yourself.

Love, Jackie

Oh ahhhh - busy, involved, long dreams: not necessarily nasty, just busy++: dreaming about people I haven't thought about for YEARS! Dreaming about things I've read recently or seen on the News: my brain picks up several items from my past and from the news etc., throws them into a mixer and blends them into involved stories: one night recently I was dreaming about cocker spaniels - I could smell them , see the mud in their ears, watch them hunting ...... but couldn't stroke them and the dream kept on and on and on ......... leaving me exhausted!

It's a side effect of the Cipralex that I take. Some mornings I feel I can't take any more of the intense tiredness, fortunatley it goes off most days by lunch time.
