I just started Wellbutrin last week after being on Lamictal for 3 months and having no effects.
I think I was misdiagnosed as bipolar after gettting a second opinion. I have more of a problem with situation depression, and this past year was the worst year I have ever had. This is my first antiidepressant I have been on...

I started on 75 MG last week. This week I started 150. I haven't noticed any major changes as of yet.
If the medicine is going to be effective, how long will it take to kick in and what dose may work? I have had no side effects so far.

Hi. Probably several more weeks, especially since you started on such a low dose. The usual dose is 300 mg daily.

Hi Pittguy,

Perhaps the Lamictal is somewhat interfering with the usual honeymoon experience that many experience in the first few weeks of taking this med. But that is the usual SE that people will not necessarily post about except it is followed by a somewhat noticeable drop thereafter. But then again, each of us are different.

I am on Abilify and want to start Wellbutrin tomorrow. I heard its great for weightloss and depression any thoughts?

i don't know about the wieghtloss thing, but for depression/panic it's fairly good... i was on it for over a year and no real se's except for feeling "wierd"
hard to explain "wierd" is the onlyword i can thing of that comes close
