Ask your doc. But any mood stabilizer can help. There are a number of them listed in the meds section on this site. (The other section I believe.)

We're not professionals and cannot advise you about medications. You need to ask your pdoc about other meds available for mood swings, especially if Lithium is not working for you. I'm on two stabilizers that are working well to control the swings.

I have 40mg Citalopram and 7.5mg of Pericyazine (Typical antipsychotic.), works really well for me although I may consider changing the Citalopram to another A/D soon.

I have been on Abilify, Geodon, Lamictal, and Lithium. The Lithium has made the greatest effect on me, and having taken a break from it I can say that it is the best thing I have been on, better than all the newer drugs the doctors have wanted me to try. That said, nothing works for everyone and the only way to really find out is by trying them out until you find one that works for you.
