The treatment of mental disorders is a personal trial and error process. Just because one person has severe headaches when they use Zoloft doesn't necessarily mean that if you take Zoloft YOU will have headaches too. Conversely, the fact that Paxil didn't work at all for one member does not mean that Paxil cannot be your success story.
Your wonder drug or combination of, will be discovered totally independent of what may or may not work for another individual. If one drug was the answer for everyone, then there would be only one drug on the market. We all react differently to different medications and varying dosages.
It may satisfy your curiosity to learn about other people's experiences, BUT this should never be the deciding factor as to what will work best for you. Sorry, it just doesn't work that way.

I was wondering if anyone takes Adderall for anything but ADD. I heard that it helps with depression and social anxiety. Any positive experiences?

Im taking Concerta(another stimulant) and it works wonders for depression and anxiety. In fact it blows my depression away, and it makes me more social, less shy! Also gives me lots of energy. Best drug ive been on so far(ive tried over 35 prescriptions). Only negative is the insomnia and gut aches.

Hi Noca,

Did you try Adderall before Concerta? I was wondering if I should try Concerta instead. Is it smoother than Adderall? Does your Klonopin mix well with the Concerta or does it offset the effects? Does the Concerta help your anxiety if you don't take the Klonopin? Sorry for all the questions.

How has it done for you? I am on it now cuz it shows to work out best according to my EEG for my clinical research study. Too early to tell if it will work for me.

I really like dopamine, especially the sexual desire aspect, but then I get panic attacks much easier. Not on any medications right now though.
I'm wondering if the increased anxiety was from the norepinephrine re-uptake inhibition from Welbutrin XL though.. first few hours I felt my depression slip away but then the next 10 hours I was just trying hard to breathe slow because it put my breathing on rapid fire and made my heart pound like a mofo.

I use to take it recreationally or to help study for a test. I snorted it for a while. I would recommend against doing that. Turned my memory into complete sludge. Stupid college times.
