I have been on lamictal and risperdal and they have been making me space out and dizzy lately. I am not sure if I should just stop taking them or deal with it, because it has been affecting my day-to-day functioning. I am just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with their meds, and what they have done to help.

Oh my Gosh I was just going to make a new post about being dizzy! I've been taking Lexapro since August and the dizziness started about a week ago and it's driving me nuts! I'm wondering if it's the Lexapro or something else. I take Synthroid for my thyroid gland but I really don't think that's what it is. I also take dyphenhydramine as a sleep aid, been taking it for about 6 months as well. I'm trying to tape off of that. Anyone has any advice? What do you think? I'm not depressed, I just can't stop thinking about how dizzy I am and I'm affraid I'll be that way for the rest of my life! ARRRG !

I've felt like that for like 11 years from the meds. I think they make most people feel strange but they just deal with it I guess.

Hey Flipping,

Sorry to hear your experiencing this. Definitly something to consult your doc about but sometimes as our bodies become more tolerant the dizzyness subsides.

I had the same with seroquel, after a few weeks things went back to normal...well until they increased the dose!

Hopefully they will work out that way for you, but like i said have a chat with your doc just to make sure things are ok.

Take care,
Missy
