Yesterday, the House of Representatives voted 349 to 62 to pass a bill (H.R. 5613) to block Medicaid regulations that would reduce access to rehabilitative, case management and school-based services.  The Administration has threatened to veto this bill, but the vote in the House far exceeds the number needed to override a veto.
 
However, the bill faces tough opposition in the Senate where Republicans are being asked to sign on to a letter opposing this legislation.  Our ability to block these harmful regulations depends on convincing Republicans NOT TO SIGN this letter. 
 
Please contact your senators TODAY and urge them NOT TO SIGN THE LETTER opposing legislation to place moratoria on the controversial Medicaid regulations, but to instead cosponsor the Senate bills that would block these regulations entitled the "Economic Recovery in Health Care Act" (S. 2819) and (S. 2578).
